During the Second Lebanon War in Summer 2006, ZAKA volunteers, working together with the Meir Panim organization, distributed hundreds of care packages to soldiers on the front lines and border posts in the North of Israel, as well as food and essential supplies to civilians unable to leave the safety of the bomb shelters for fear of the next rocket attack.
Not only did these packages bring much-needed supplies to the soldiers, conscripts and reservists alike, but the volunteers' very presence sent a strong message of brotherhood, caring and support. As the posters say in the photos: Israel Together: with love to the soldiers of the IDF.
